Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable from switch to LAN port on phone.
  2. Connect computer (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Power the phone: Use PoE from switch or connect optional power adapter.
  4. Connect handset: Plug coiled cord into handset jack.
  5. Connect headset (optional): Plug into headset jack on side of phone.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure network cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; wait for boot sequence.

  1. Network configuration: Phone should obtain IP address via DHCP automatically.
  2. Server registration: Enter server IP address if not auto-provisioned (via Options menu).
  3. Set user preferences: Configure time/date, ring tones, display contrast.
  4. Program keys: Assign line appearances or features to programmable keys.
  5. Test call: Make a test call to verify audio quality and connectivity.

  3. Connect LAN port to network switch.
  4. Connect PC port to computer if needed.
  5. Power via PoE or external adapter.
  6. Verify link LEDs are lit.

Tip: Use quality cables to avoid network issues. Check switch PoE capability.

Making and Managing Calls

Supports multiple simultaneous calls.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press flashing line key.
  3. End call: Hang up handset or press Speakerphone.
  4. Hold: Press Hold button; resume by pressing same line key.
  5. Transfer: Press Transfer, dial target, announce, complete transfer.
  6. Conference: Press Conference, dial first party, press Conference again, dial second party.
  7. Call Park: Press Park, note park code; retrieve from any phone.
  8. Redial: Press Redial to call last dialed number.

WARNING! Emergency calls may require configuration; verify with administrator.

Advanced Features

Speed Dial: Program numbers to keys. Do Not Disturb: Enable via menu to silence ring. Call Forwarding: Set to forward calls to another number. Message Waiting: Visual LED and display indication. Directory: Access corporate directory via soft key.
