Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable desk surface.

  1. Connect to network: Plug Ethernet cable from switch into LAN port.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect handset: Insert coiled cord into handset jack.
  4. Connect power: Use provided power adapter or PoE (Power over Ethernet).

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; wait for boot-up sequence.

  1. Obtain IP address: Phone should auto-configure via DHCP (check display).
  2. Register with server: May require extension number and password from administrator.
  3. Set preferences: Use Options menu to adjust ring tone, display contrast, etc.
  4. Program keys: Assign functions to programmable keys via administrator or phone menu.

CAUTION! Do not disconnect during firmware update if prompted.

Tip: Use PoE to reduce cable clutter; verify switch supports PoE.

Using Phone Features

Supports basic and advanced telephony features.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press SPEAKER/HEADSET, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press SPEAKER, or press flashing line key.
  3. Hold: Press HOLD button; resume by pressing same line key.
  4. Transfer: During call, press TRANSFER, dial target, press TRANSFER again.
  5. Conference: During call, press CONFERENCE, dial second party, press CONFERENCE to join.
  6. Voicemail: Press MESSAGE key or dial voicemail access number.
  7. Speed dial: Press programmed speed dial key.
  8. Call log: Use NAVIGATION to view missed, received, placed calls.

WARNING! Do not use liquid cleaners on phone. Avoid extreme temperatures.

Accessibility Features

Visual alerts: Flashing LED for incoming calls. Audio adjustments: Volume control for ringer, speaker, handset. Hearing aid compatible: Handset meets TIA-1083 standard.
