Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable desk surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug Ethernet cable from switch into the LAN port on the phone.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Plug PC Ethernet cable into the PC port on the phone.
  3. Connect Handset: Attach coiled handset cord to handset and phone base.
  4. Apply Power: Phone will power on via PoE. If not using PoE, connect the optional power adapter.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and attempt to obtain configuration from the network.

  1. Check Registration: Observe display for extension number or "Registered" status.
  2. Set User Preferences: Press the "Settings" or "Options" button to adjust time/date, ring tones, display contrast.
  3. Program Feature Keys: Use administrator web interface or phone menu to assign functions to programmable keys.
  4. Test Call: Lift handset and dial another extension to verify audio quality.

CAUTION! Configuration changes may require administrator access. Do not unplug during boot process.

  3. For headset use, enable headset mode by pressing the Headset button.

Tip: Use the PC port to daisy-chain your computer, saving a switch port.

Making and Receiving Calls

Basic call handling functions.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number, press Dial or wait for auto-dial.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press the flashing line key.
  3. End a Call: Hang up handset or press the Speakerphone or Drop button.
  4. Hold: Press Hold button to place a call on hold; press Resume or the held line key to retrieve.
  5. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial target number, announce call, press Transfer again to complete.
  6. Conference: During first call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to connect all.
  7. Redial: Press Redial to call the last number dialed.
  8. Voicemail: Press Message button or dial voicemail access number.

WARNING! Emergency calls (e.g., 911) may require specific system configuration. Know your location.

Accessibility Features

Visual Alert: Flashing LED for incoming calls and messages. Audio Adjustments: Independent volume controls for ringer, handset, speaker. Hearing Aid Compatible: Handset is rated for hearing aid compatibility (HAC).

Care & Cleaning
