Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable tester
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Punch down tool
  • Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. System Planning: Determine the number of users, required features, and network infrastructure before installation.
  2. Hardware Setup: Mount the IP Office control unit in a secure, ventilated location with proper power supply.
  3. Network Connection: Connect the IP Office system to your network using Ethernet cables and configure IP settings.
  4. Phone Configuration: Connect Avaya IP phones to network ports and allow them to auto-configure via DHCP.
  5. User Setup: Create user extensions, voicemail boxes, and assign feature permissions through the management interface.
  6. Trunk Configuration: Connect and configure SIP trunks or analog lines for external calling.
  7. System Testing: Test internal calls, external calls, voicemail, and all configured features.
