Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable from switch/router to LAN port on phone.
  2. Connect computer (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset jack.
  4. Connect power: Use provided power adapter or ensure PoE is enabled on switch.
  5. Connect headset (optional): Plug into 3.5mm headset jack.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; follow on-screen prompts and configuration from phone system.

  1. Network boot: Phone will obtain IP address via DHCP from network.
  2. Server configuration: Contact administrator for TFTP server address if required.
  3. Extension assignment: Administrator will assign extension number and credentials.
  4. Basic settings: Set language, time format, and ring tone via Options menu.

Tip: Use Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance. Verify link LED is solid green.

Making and Receiving Calls

Basic call handling procedures.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number, press Dial soft key or wait for auto-dial.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press Answer soft key when ringing.
  3. End call: Hang up handset or press End Call soft key.
  4. Hold: Press Hold button; resume by pressing flashing line key or Resume soft key.
  5. Transfer: During call, press Transfer, dial target number, announce call, press Transfer again to complete.
  6. Conference: During first call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to merge.
  7. Mute: Press Mute button to toggle microphone on/off.

WARNING! Emergency calls may require direct dialing or prefix; check with administrator.

Advanced Features

Speed Dial: Program frequently dialed numbers to programmable keys. Call Forwarding: Activate via Features menu or * codes. Do Not Disturb: Silence rings and send calls to voicemail.
