Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable desk surface.

  1. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable from switch/router to LAN port on phone.
  2. Connect computer (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Power the phone: Use PoE from switch or connect external power adapter to DC port.
  4. Connect handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset jack.
  5. Connect headset (optional): Plug into RJ-22 headset port.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure network cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; follow initialization prompts.

  1. Network registration: Phone will attempt to obtain IP address via DHCP.
  2. Server configuration: Enter IP address of call server if not auto-provisioned.
  3. Extension setup: Enter extension number and authentication credentials as provided by administrator.
  4. Basic settings: Set date/time format, language (default ENGLISH), and ring tone.
  5. Test call: Place test call to verify audio and registration.

  2. Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance.
  3. For PoE, verify switch supports IEEE 802.3af.
  4. Select audio path via HEADSET or SPEAKERPHONE button.

Advanced Call Features

Supports multiple lines, call waiting, conferencing, transfer.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press SPEAKERPHONE, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press SPEAKERPHONE, or press flashing line key.
  3. Hold: Press HOLD button; resume by pressing same line key.
  4. Transfer: During call, press TRANSFER, dial target number, announce, press TRANSFER again.
  5. Conference: During call, press CONFERENCE, dial second party, press CONFERENCE again to merge.
  6. Call Forwarding: Menu > Call Features > Forwarding > set destination.
  7. Speed Dial: Program keys via Menu > Features > Speed Dial.
  8. Call Log: Access missed, received, and placed calls via navigation.

WARNING! Conference and transfer features may vary by system configuration.

Accessibility Features
