Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Punch-down tool (66 or 110 block)
  • Cable tester
  • Multimeter
  • Label maker

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. System Location: Select a clean, dry location with proper ventilation and access to power outlets.
  2. Mount Control Unit: Mount the Partner ACS control unit on the wall using provided brackets or place on a secure shelf.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the power supply to the control unit and plug into a dedicated 120V AC outlet.
  4. Telephone Line Connection: Connect CO/PSTN lines to the appropriate ports on the control unit.
  5. Station Wiring: Connect station cables to the extension ports using proper punch-down techniques.
  6. Phone Installation:
  7. System Initialization: Power up the system and allow it to complete its startup sequence.
  8. Basic Configuration: Program system date/time and basic parameters using system programming.
Warning: Installation should be performed by certified technicians. Improper installation may void warranty and cause system malfunctions.

Programming Guide

System Programming Access

  1. Press [FEATURE] + [0] + [0] from any system phone
  2. Enter system password (default: 1234)
  3. Press [HOLD] to save changes
  4. Press [SPEAKER] to exit programming

Common User Codes

  • *01: Call Forward All Calls - Forward all calls to another extension
  • *02: Call Forward Busy/No Answer - Forward when busy or unanswered
  • *03: Cancel Call Forwarding - Disable all forwarding
  • *04: Do Not Disturb - Temporarily block incoming calls
  • *05: Cancel Do Not Disturb - Resume normal ringing
  • *06: Call Park - Park a call at this extension
  • *07: Call Retrieve - Retrieve parked call
  • *08: Conference Setup - Initiate conference call

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No dial tone Line disconnected, phone not registered Check line connections, verify extension programming
Can't make outside calls Line not assigned, restriction enabled Check line assignments, verify toll restrictions
Phones not ringing Ring pattern not set, DND enabled Program ring patterns, check DND status
One-way audio Wiring issue, bad handset Check station wiring, test with different phone
System reset Power outage, memory corruption Reload programming, check power supply
Voice mail issues Integration not configured, port issues Verify VM integration settings, check VM ports

Error Indicators

  • Red LED Flashing: System error - Check power and connections
  • No Display: Phone not powered - Check station wiring and power
  • Fast Busy Signal: All lines busy or system error
  • Reorder Tone: Invalid dialing sequence or restriction
  • Continuous Ring: Programming error in ring settings
  • One-Second Beeps: Message waiting indicator active
