PC Card System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Anti-static wrist strap
  • Network cable tester
  • Telephone line tester
  • Avaya system configuration software

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. System Preparation: Power down the Avaya Partner system completely before beginning installation.
  2. Remove System Cover: Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the outer cover of the Avaya Partner system.
  3. Install PC Card: Insert the Voice Messaging PC Card into the designated expansion slot, ensuring proper alignment with the connector.
  4. Connect Telephone Lines: Connect the telephone lines to the appropriate ports on the PC Card for voice messaging functionality.
  5. Network Connection: Connect the PC Card to your local network using a standard Ethernet cable for remote access capabilities.
  6. Power Up Sequence: Replace the system cover and power up the Avaya Partner system following proper startup procedures.
  7. Configuration: Use the Avaya configuration software to set up voice messaging parameters and user settings.
