Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to network: Plug the line cord into the wall jack (RJ45) and the phone's LINE port.
  2. Connect handset: Attach coiled handset cord to HANDSET port.
  3. Optional headset: Plug into 2.5mm headset jack.
  4. Power: Phone receives power from the communication system; no external power adapter required.

WARNING! Use only approved cables. Do not place phone near heat sources or liquids.

First-Time Setup

Once connected, the phone will initialize automatically.

  1. Check registration: Ensure extension number appears on display.
  2. Set date/time: Configure via system administrator if not automatic.
  3. Program buttons: Assign line appearances or features to programmable buttons via system programming.
  4. Adjust volume: Use volume rocker to set handset, speaker, and ringer levels.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to open the phone casing. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

Fixed Keys: HOLD, TRANSFER, CONFERENCE, DROP, SPEAKER, MUTE, VOLUME UP/DOWN, NAVIGATION ARROWS, MESSAGE, REDIAL.

Programmable Buttons: Can be set for line appearances, speed dial, call coverage, feature access (via system programming). Display Settings: Contrast adjustable via menu. Audio Settings: Volume controls for handset, speaker, ringer, headset. Ringer Settings: Select tone and volume via ADMIN menu (if enabled).

Connecting to the System

Line: RJ45 to wall jack. Handset: RJ9 to HANDSET port. Headset: 2.5mm plug.

  1. Ensure system is powered and operational.
  2. Connect phone to designated wall jack.
  3. Wait for initialization (display shows extension or system messages).
  4. Verify dial tone and call functionality.

Tip: If phone does not power on, check cable connections and contact system administrator.

Basic Call Handling

Place, answer, hold, transfer, and conference calls.

  1. Place call: Lift handset or press SPEAKER, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press SPEAKER, or press flashing line button.
  3. Hold: Press HOLD button; press again or line button to retrieve.
  4. Transfer: During call, press TRANSFER, dial target, announce, press TRANSFER again to complete.
  5. Conference: During call, press CONFERENCE, dial second party, press CONFERENCE again to connect all.
  6. End call: Hang up handset or press SPEAKER/DROP.
  7. Redial: Press REDIAL to call last dialed number.
  8. Mute: Press MUTE during call to mute microphone (LED lights).

WARNING! Use headset in appropriate environments to avoid acoustic feedback.

Advanced Features

Speed Dial: Program numbers to programmable buttons. Call Forwarding: Activate via feature code or button programming. Voicemail: Access via MESSAGE button or dial voicemail number. Call Logging: View missed, received, dialed calls via display menu (if configured).

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from wall jack before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth; mild detergent if needed. Avoid liquids entering openings.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep phone dry.
