Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to network: Plug the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the phone and the other end into the network jack.
  2. Connect power: Use the provided power adapter or Power over Ethernet (PoE) if supported by your switch.
  3. Connect handset: Attach the coiled handset cord to the handset and the HANDSET jack on the phone.
  4. Optional headset: Plug a compatible headset into the HEADSET jack.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapters. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will boot and attempt to register with the communication system.

  1. Check registration: Look for your extension number or name on the display.
  2. Set date and time: Usually synchronized from the system; check with administrator if incorrect.
  3. Program keys: Use the system administration tool or phone menu to assign functions to programmable keys.
  4. Adjust volume: Use volume keys to set ringer, speaker, and handset levels to preference.

  3. Connect PC to the phone's PC port if you want to share the network connection.

Advanced Call Features

Supports standard and advanced telephony features.

  1. Make a call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number.
  2. Answer a call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press the flashing line key.
  3. Hold: Press HOLD key; press the same key to retrieve.
  4. Transfer: During a call, press TRANSFER, dial target number, press TRANSFER again or hang up.
  5. Conference: During a call, press CONFERENCE, dial next party, press CONFERENCE again to connect all.
  6. Call Forwarding: Program via system or phone menu to forward calls to another number.
  7. Speed Dial: Store numbers on programmable keys for one-touch dialing.
  8. Redial: Press the REDIAL soft key or programmed key to call the last dialed number.
