Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface near power and network outlets.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug Ethernet cable from your network switch into the LAN port on the phone.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Plug an Ethernet cable from the PC port on the phone to your computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Insert the coiled handset cord into the jack labeled with a handset icon.
  4. Connect Power: Use the provided power adapter or connect via Power over Ethernet (PoE).

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will boot and attempt to register with the communication server.

  1. Network Registration: The phone should auto-configure via DHCP. Observe the display for status.
  2. Extension Assignment: Your administrator will assign a phone number (extension) to the device.
  3. Set Language: Press the Settings button, navigate to User Preferences > Language.
  4. Adjust Audio: Use volume controls to set handset, speaker, and ringer levels.

CAUTION! Do not unplug during firmware upgrade as indicated on the display.

Access menus via the Settings button or softkeys next to the display. Front Buttons: MUTE, HOLD, CONFERENCE, TRANSFER, NAVIGATION CLUSTER.

Softkeys: Context-sensitive buttons for call functions (Answer, Drop, More).

Connecting to Network

Primary connection via LAN port. Optional PC pass-through via PC port.

  1. Ensure network switch is powered and operational.
  2. Connect Ethernet cable from switch to phone's LAN port.
  3. For PoE, ensure switch provides 802.3af power; otherwise, connect power adapter.
  4. Phone will obtain IP address via DHCP; check status on display.

Tip: Use quality CAT5e or higher cables for reliable connectivity.

Basic Call Handling

Making, answering, and managing calls.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speaker, dial number, or press a programmed speed dial key.
  2. Answer a Call: Press the flashing line key, Answer softkey, or lift handset.
  3. End a Call: Hang up handset, press Speaker button, or press Drop softkey.
  4. Hold: Press HOLD button; press the held line key or Resume softkey to retrieve.
  5. Mute: Press MUTE button during a call; press again to unmute.
  6. Transfer: During a call, press TRANSFER, dial target number, press Transfer again or hang up.
  7. Conference: During a call, press CONFERENCE, dial second party, press Conference again to connect all.

WARNING! Do not use excessive force on keys or handset cradle.

Advanced Features

Call Forwarding: Set via Features menu or softkey to forward calls to another number. Do Not Disturb: Activate to send calls directly to voicemail. Message Waiting Indicator: Lamp flashes when voicemail is received. Headset Operation: Plug in headset, press Headset button or assigned key to use.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the housing and display. For stubborn marks, dampen cloth slightly with water; do not use solvents.

CAUTION! Never spray liquids directly onto the phone. Keep away from extreme heat and moisture.
