Multi-Line Operation

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable (CAT5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (if not PoE)
  • Screwdriver (for wall mounting)
  • Ethernet cable tester
  • Avaya configuration software

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location near network connection with adequate ventilation and accessibility.
  2. Connect Network Cable: Connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone and to your network switch.
  3. Power Connection: Connect power adapter if not using Power over Ethernet (PoE), or ensure PoE switch is properly configured.
  4. Phone Registration: Wait for phone to boot and register with the Avaya communication server.
  5. Line Configuration: Configure additional lines through the phone's web interface or system administrator console.
  6. Test Line Pickup: Test the "Pick Up Another Line" feature by calling between configured extensions.
  7. Final Verification: Verify all lines are operational and pickup features work correctly.

Troubleshooting
