Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect to network: Plug the telephone line cord (RJ-45) into the LAN port on the phone and the corresponding wall jack or switch port.
  2. Connect handset: Attach the coiled handset cord to the handset and the HANDSET port on the phone.
  3. Connect power (if required): Plug the power adapter into the DC IN port on the phone and a wall outlet. (Note: Some installations use Power over Ethernet).
  4. Connect headset (optional): Plug a headset into the HEADSET port (RJ-9).

WARNING! Use only approved power adapters. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Once connected, the phone will boot and register with the IP Office system.

  1. Check registration: Look for your extension number and name on the display.
  2. Set date and time: Usually provided by the phone system automatically.
  3. Program buttons: Use the system administrator software or phone menu to assign features (Speed Dial, Call Appearance, etc.) to programmable buttons.
  4. Adjust volumes: Use the volume rocker to set handset, speaker, and ringer levels.

CAUTION! Configuration changes should be made by or coordinated with your system administrator.

Access features via the keypad, programmable buttons, and the Options menu (press the button next to "Options" on display).

Fixed Buttons: Line 1/2, Hold, Mute, Volume Rocker, Speaker, Headset, Transfer, Conference, Redial, Drop.

Options Menu: Call Log, Redial List, Settings (Ring Tones, Display Contrast, Time/Date Format). Programmable Buttons: Can be set as Speed Dials, Call Appearances, Feature Keys (e.g., Voicemail, Forward). Volume: Adjusts handset, speaker, and ringer volume independently.

Connecting Devices

Network: RJ-45 to LAN jack. Handset: RJ-9 cord. Headset: RJ-9 to HEADSET port. Power: DC adapter if not using PoE.

  2. Connect the LAN cable first for PoE to power the phone.
  3. Select audio path: Press Speaker for hands-free or lift handset.
  4. For headset use, press Headset button to activate.

Tip: Use a Category 5e or higher Ethernet cable for reliable network connection.

Using Phone Features

Making a Call: Lift handset or press Speaker/Headset, dial number. Answering a Call: Lift handset, press Speaker, or press the flashing Line/Call Appearance button. Hold: Press Hold button. Retrieve by pressing the held call's button. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial target number, announce call, press Transfer again to complete. Conference: During a call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to connect all. Redial: Press Redial to call the last number dialed. Mute: Press Mute during a call to mute your microphone. Voicemail: Press the programmed Voicemail button or dial your voicemail access number.

WARNING! Do not use liquid cleaners on the phone. Unplug power before cleaning.

Accessibility Features

Volume Adjustment: High gain handset and adjustable ringer volumes. Visual Alerts: Flashing LED for line/call appearance and message waiting. TTY Compatible: Can be used with compatible TTY devices when configured through the system.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, dampen cloth slightly with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or sprays directly on the phone.

CAUTION! Never allow liquid to enter any openings on the phone. Keep away from excessive heat and humidity.
