IP Office Edition

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (CAT5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (if not PoE)
  • Network switch with PoE capability
  • Screwdriver set
  • Network cable tester

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location near network connection with proper ventilation and accessibility.
  2. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and check for any physical damage to the phone unit.
  3. Network Connection: Connect the Ethernet cable from the network switch to the LAN port on the phone. For PoE, ensure switch supports 802.3af/at.
  4. Power Connection: If not using PoE, connect the provided power adapter to the phone and power outlet.
  5. Handset and Accessories: Connect the handset cord to the handset port and headset if required.
  6. Power On: Press the power button or wait for PoE to initialize the phone. Allow 2-3 minutes for boot sequence.
  7. Configuration: Access phone web interface or use IP Office Manager to configure extension settings and features.
  8. Test Functionality: Make test calls, check voicemail, and verify all programmed features are working correctly.
Warning: All network configurations must be performed by qualified IT personnel. Ensure proper network segmentation for voice traffic.

Troubleshooting

  • DNS Error: Cannot resolve server - Check DNS settings and server availability
  • Provisioning Failed: Configuration download issue - Check TFTP/HTTP server access
  • Codec Error: Audio codec mismatch - Verify supported codecs on server
