IP Office Edition

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable tester
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Punch down tool
  • Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power supply unit

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated location with access to network infrastructure and power outlets.
  2. Unpack and Inventory: Remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present according to packing list.
  3. Connect to Network: Connect the IP Office control unit to your network switch using provided Ethernet cables.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power supply to the control unit and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Phone Configuration: Connect IP phones to network ports and allow them to obtain configuration from the IP Office server.
  6. System Initialization: Power on the system and follow the initialization wizard for basic configuration.
  7. Test System: Make test calls between extensions and to external lines to verify proper operation.
Warning: All installations must be performed by a qualified Avaya certified technician to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.
