Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable tester
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Punch down tool
  • Voltage tester
  • Label maker

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. System Planning: Determine the location for the IP Office control unit, ensuring proper ventilation and access to power outlets.
  2. Network Configuration: Configure network settings including IP addressing, VLAN setup, and QoS parameters for voice traffic.
  3. Hardware Installation: Mount the IP Office control unit and connect power supply. Install expansion modules if required.
  4. Phone Connections: Connect IP phones to network ports using Ethernet cables. For digital phones, connect to appropriate expansion modules.
  5. Power Over Ethernet: Ensure PoE switches are properly configured to provide power to IP phones.
  6. System Programming: Access the IP Office Manager software to configure extensions, hunt groups, and call routing.
  7. Testing: Test all extensions, voicemail, and call features to ensure proper operation.
