Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable tester
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector or switch
  • Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher)
  • Configuration laptop

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. System Planning: Determine the number of users, required features, and network infrastructure before installation.
  2. Hardware Setup: Mount the IP Office control unit in a secure, ventilated location with proper power supply.
  3. Network Connection: Connect the IP Office system to your network switch using Ethernet cables.
  4. Phone Configuration: Connect Avaya IP phones to network ports; they will automatically receive power and configuration from the system.
  5. Software Installation: Install the IP Office Manager software on a Windows computer for system configuration.
  6. System Programming: Configure extensions, voicemail, auto-attendant, and call routing rules using the Manager software.
  7. Testing: Test all phones, features, and external lines to ensure proper operation.
