IP Office Edition

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable tester
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Punch down tool
  • Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector or switch

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation, away from direct sunlight and moisture sources.
  2. Unpack and Inventory: Remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present according to packing list.
  3. Connect to Network: Connect the IP Office control unit to your network switch using Ethernet cable. Ensure proper VLAN configuration if required.
  4. Power Connection: Connect power supply to control unit or use PoE for IP phones. Ensure proper grounding.
  5. Phone Configuration: Connect IP phones to network ports. Phones will automatically download configuration from IP Office server.
  6. System Initialization: Power on the system and wait for initialization to complete (approximately 5-10 minutes).
  7. Test System: Make test calls between extensions and verify external line connectivity.
Warning: All installations must be performed by a qualified Avaya certified technician to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting
