Tools Needed:
- Network cable tester
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Punch down tool
- Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher)
- Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector or switch
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation, away from direct sunlight and moisture sources.
- Unpack and Inventory: Remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present according to packing list.
- Connect to Network: Connect the IP Office control unit to your network switch using Ethernet cable. Ensure proper VLAN configuration if required.
- Power Connection: Connect power supply to control unit or use PoE for IP phones. Ensure proper grounding.
- Phone Configuration: Connect IP phones to network ports. Phones will automatically download configuration from IP Office server.
- System Initialization: Power on the system and wait for initialization to complete (approximately 5-10 minutes).
- Test System: Make test calls between extensions and verify external line connectivity.
